DIY
The Group has a lot of equipment and two sites to look after, this is another job for the leaders to try and juggle with running sections, working and spending enough time with the family. We know we have lots of practical parents who can help with these essential tasks....
Buildings maintenance
We need to grow our small team of volunteers, this we need people with general DIY skills and more specifics like plumbing.
One of the canoe racks fell down in the summer, all it needed was 4 new holes drilling in the wall and some new rawl plugs and screws putting in but leaders cannot do that and be on the water with the Scouts at the same time. There are loads of 5 minute tasks.

Boat maintenance
We are in the lucky position the all of our fleet is now either GRP or Plastic, however repairs are never far away. Have you got fibreglass repair skills? Could you check that all the boats have bungs and are tied on? Could you sand and varnish an oar? There are lots of jobs that don't need specialist skills or knowledge.
